2020 ONLINE EDITION

As the digital edition is slowly reaching its highpoint, we bring you six new video presentations, starting with the Core programme keynote address by Dr Monisha Ahmed from the LAMO Centre in Ladakh, India, our "Project of Influence" in 2019. From Helsinki we have the IFLA's Systematic Public Library of the Year Award 2019 winner the Oodi Library, boasting a creative architectural design and innovative and varied services. From Cardiff,  the the ArtFund Museum of the year 2019 - St Fagans National Museum of History, a 100-acre open-air Museum which is part of the National Museum Wales group. Cereveira Biennial Museum was declared the Portugese museum of the year in 2019, and presents the evolution of visual arts in the last four decades. From the IMAGINES programme we feature Freud Museum London for their "A Surreal Christmas" promotional video that won the Museums in Short prize 2019. And the Hungarian National Museum for the "Magic Wall" installation, a part of the Sissy and Hungary travelling exhibition, winning the AVICOM F@IMP 2019 Grand Prix.

Dr Monisha Ahmed delivers the 2020 keynote address "Surviving and Adapting During a Pandemic: The Ladakh Arts and Media Organisation". Strong messages of solidarity and support to all cultural organisations coping with "New normal", from TBIH2019 "Project of Influence". 

In a talk with Adam Corsini, Benedek Varga presents a highly immersive, crowd-interactive technology - the Magic Wall - that was used in the travelling exhibition "Sissy and Hungary" by the Hungarian National Museum.

Carina Jaatinen interviews Nia Williams from the National Museum Wales about the St Fagans National Museum of History, which was awarded Art Fund Museum of the Year following an ambitious £30 million redevelopment.

Awarded with APOM Best Museum of Portugal in 2019, the Cerveira Biennial Museum hosts the oldest Art Biennial of the Iberian Peninsula. Carina Jaatinen talks to Ana Vale Costa, with President of Cerveira Art Biennial Foundation Fernando Nogueira's opening message.

IMAGINES Jury member Sara Devine interviews Jamie Ruers from Freud Museum London about “A Surreal Christmas" project, a promotional video advertising “Freud, Dalí and the Metamorphosis of Narcissus” exhibition-related products. It won the Museums in Short Award in 2019. 

In an interview with our Core programme Jury member Inkyung Chang, Harri Annala presents the IFLA / Systematic Public Library of the Year Award 2019 winner, the Oodi Library, where reading, active learning, and experiencing cultural events come together in a new way.
